DESI DI used to be a favorite restaurant in Ayanavaram got closed down unfortunately and now after 2 years, Desi Di is back in a more prime location of Poes Garden. The same Chef (named Chefcouts) is also back in operations, so happy even before visiting. LITCHI and JAMUN (Navaal Pazham) (180₹) fruit juices to start, without any sugar syrups was good. CORN BHUTTA KEBAB (180₹) in 2 ways, liked the one similar to a vada form better. MUTTON BOTTI PLATE (380₹) don’t get wrong with the name here, it was a super succulent mutton pieces. AFGHANI NATTU KOZHI (380₹) was so so tender done in a malai style, less flavour but stronger taste. CHICKEN KEBAB COATED ON SUGARCANE STICKS (280₹) is a trademark dish of the chef. OFF to the main course, DOSA WAFFLE (180₹) with PRAWN MALAI CURRY (420₹) just blew our mind. Dosa batter in Waffle maker made so soft, it looks exactly like Waffle but when you chew, you get to taste Dosa, outstanding one. Desserts GULAB JAMUN CHEESECAKE (300₹) was good. But GREEN APPLE inside JALEBI with RABDI and STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM(280₹) was wow. Full credits for putting together this.
