Flame Grilled Chicken

The Good old South African Cuisine has another player in town…Galito’s opened its first outlet in chennai in forum mall and i was down there to  check how they fare…Located on the Second level right next to Salt restaurant..This is an open restaurant with pretty good and well lit interiors along with some good and comfortable seating of around 60-70 ppl…The walls adorn some quirky graffiti involving the cuisine and chicken…

Was there on the early hours of the day and hence they were just setting things up but even then were attentive enough and quick in their response..in addition to this there attitude was kind and very professional…The waiting time was on the average side but given that it was the beginning of the day i cant comment much…

Ordered a few items and given below is my take on them…

Lemon & Herb Satay : The Chicken Strips were perfectly cooked on the wooden skewers and had a moist touch to it..The Lemon flavor was well infused but was definitely on the lower side..served along with a peanut dip which complimented the satay very well..

Corn On the Cob : Decent Sweet corn roasted well and topped with a hint of butter..

Pulled Chicken Burger – Hot : With loads of veggies and chicken strips this one was good with a center that was more on the juicy/gravy side…The buns were really fresh and were super soft which held the filling in perfectly…Too good of a burger for those who like it to be messy…

Lemonade : Ordered this to go along with my food and it was good lemonade chilled to perfection and which helped me wash down my food…

Malva Pudding with Ice cream : This is a must try…A pudding made of apricots and finished with a spongy texture..It was topped with caramel flavored sauce and served along with ice cream..The apricotish taste with the caramel was a bliss to me…loved it to the core…and with ice cream on the side it was just top notch…Definitely this comes in the list of must try desserts in chennai IMO…

The close competitor being Nando’s i must say this place might give it a tough competition if not overtake it…The food was really good and definitely comes in the places to try in chennai IMO..Completely worth the money you spend…totally recommended…
