‘Kailash Kitchen’ undoubtedly serves the best momos in our city. It’s located near Nungambakkam railway station and parking would be a very major problem as the lane is always crowded with moving vehicles and people. To be precise, it’s next to Choolaimedu Chennai library and there are high chances that you will be missing this place. They have no board or indicators outside, so it’s better if you have a proper eye on the buildings if you are walking in for the first time.
It’s a very small setup which hardly occupies 10 customers at a single shot. They open at 12.30pm and it runs till the stocks last. It’s better if you give them a call before travelling all the way to try out. Generally they are open till 6pm and sometimes even earlier.
‘Momos’ and ‘Chowmein’ are the main attractions here. They have steamed momos and also fried momos for customers who prefer momos to be crispy. The chutney which accompanies the momos is thick and as consistent as a pickle. It’s super spicy and very yummy. The momos are huge with generous amount of filling inside. The veg momos are equally delicious like the chicken ones. Two plates of momos would make a perfect lunch or snacks if you are a heavy eater. ‘Chowmein’ is also a must try here. You also the get the beef added chowmein and it tastes the best when eaten hot.
The prices are very reasonable. 8 large sized momos cost just 100 bucks and also the Chowmein is priced at 100. It’s a pure value for money outlet.
